Relieving Headaches



According to Paula Owens, author of The Power of Four - Your Ultimate Guide Guaranteed to Change Your Body and Transform Your Life, there are several things people can do to relieve headaches and even migraines.  Did you know that migraines affect about 9% of the US population which spends about $1 Billion annually on medical expenses?

Paula recommends 3 natural solutions to prevent headaches (diet, lifestyle and supplementation).  Below are just a few things that caught my attention.

Diet
Keep your water hydrated.  This is an easy thing to do and you can find water everywhere.
Eat diets low in carbs and high in protein.  That filet is sounding pretty good right about now!
If you have a headache, try eating 12-15 raw almonds.  That can help relieve a headache.  Who knew?


Lifestyle
Acupressure.  Without going to see a practitioner, Paula recommends, holding the area between the thumb and the index finger for 9-10 breathing cycles.
Aromotherapy. Peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus oils can be applied on the temple.
Physical therapies.  Tai Chi, reflexology and chiropractic treatments are also good therapies.

Get Better Sleep and Improve Your Health!


Over the last 3-4 weeks, I’ve been handing out Sleep in a Snap samples to everyone I know.  Little did I know, I was helping them with their health, in addition to improving their sleep.
